One AM

There was an eve
Not so very long ago,
Where our car fell
Upon the desolate highway of night

We were left stranded
In wait...

Along came a savior
Upon a large fiery steed
To rescue us from the cold
Inky darkness and silence.

I arrived upon my doorstep
Not a hair harmed
Upon my blond head

There he let me capture him
Within the lense
At that moment I realized
As I lay there
The pavement beneath my stomach
An eerie red cast from the headlights

All illuminated, night life
Looking up with a click of the shutter,
From the ground up towards the moon

That it is never to late to create,
That no moment is off limits
Which felt powerful
And perhaps profound,

Time has no limitation

Thus wherever
And more so whenever I am
Creation is waiting
